Job Posting – Fishers Sign Mover, Sign Painter

The City of Fishers has posted two new jobs on its Human Recourses website www.fishers.com/helpwanted.

Sign Mover- Refer to ID 2011-12-x22
The job is for a sign mover, to work full time moving signs of welcome to the Town of Fishers. The job description calls for someone able to dig up a post and sign and move it to the new town limits. They must be able to read city maps and use a GPS to locate the new city boundaries. Must be able to use a post digger and be able to install new signs in various locations including concrete asphalt. As a result of all the annexation move of the Town, and the Swiss cheese effect, it appears that the Town has to keep moving signs of welcome. With the Town Council doing 1-2 annexations at each of its meetings, the sign movement is a very important job.

Sign Painter Refer to ID 2011-13-x27
This is for an experienced sign painter. Must be able to restore signs that have been damaged and to paint new signs for the Town Of Fishers. The primary work is for Welcome to the Town of Fishers signs. As a result of continuous annexations by the Town of Fishers the need for new signs and repair of old signs as they are moved.
